When you want to finish off a client’s hair by adding some texture and movement, what tools do you reach for? Although lots of stylists use their straighteners for curling, it may not be a tool you think of as having a multitude of styling options. To be fair, you need to invest in the right straightener to be able to make all of your styles look effortless.
Bridal stylist and MODERN SALON Artist Connective Member Sarajane Maples (@blushandmane) grabs her Dyson Corrale styler for everything, straight or not. The high-tech tool is so versatile that it can be your go-to for any style. Watch Maples demonstrate some of the ways she uses her Corrale to finish her clients’ hair.
Boho Beach Waves
The Corrale is excellent at producing these beachy waves. Maples’ tip for this style is to “straighten the ends slightly” to place more attention on the texture of the waves. The result is a carefree, yet elegant style.
Big Soft Curls
Maples loves to use her Corrale for bigger curls, too. The Corrale’s flexing plate technology gathers conforms around the hair instead of smushing and frying it, which means no creasing and a lot less heat damage. The cordless design also allows for easier maneuvering when styling.
Lived-in Shag
Styling a shag is a perfect use case for the Corrale. Here, Maples turns the styler back and forth on each section to create the lived-in texture. Because the Corrale is cordless, she can also bring it outside for touchups during picture time. That’s serious convenience.
Whether the curls are big and tight or soft and subtle, the Corrale does so much more than ultra-sleek straightening.
