Hollywood took a lunch break at the Chaz Dean Studio on Wednesday, April 10, when award-winning hairstylists for stage, film, television, and music gathered to be introduced to the WEN Brush Dryer Styling Tool.
One had to wonder who was doing hair for the celebs that day, since so many of their personal stylists were enjoying time together at this boutique hideaway. And true to form, while they enjoyed learning, and watching a demo of the tool’s capabilities, it didn’t take long for them to get their hands in, working with it and asking questions of the tool’s designer, Dean.

About the WEN® Brush Dryer Styling Tool
What they learned is that this lightweight, multitasking tool would be something professionals could use on set, and their clients could use to retain their style. And that it could do this at a lower heat setting.
“Putting yourself in the mind of a client, they’re always wondering what can they do to maintain their hair on that second or third day, without creating damage, without pulling out the hot tools and adding heat,” said Emmy-nominated stylist Suzette Boozer. “Because this tool works at 240′ it is much less damaging to curly hair, to textured hair, to colored hair. Using this tool means less maintenance, which also means healthier hair. “
Incredibly lightweight and loaded with cruelty-free nylon bristles for superior smoothing, the tool features even vertical airflow vents for quick drying, and multiple attachments to help achieve a smooth, low-heat style.
“How I explain the way the lower heat setting works, especially to people who think you have to crank it up to 450 for a tool to work, is that if you’re baking a turkey by turning your oven up to 500′, you’re going to burn it from the outside in and the inside will never cook properly,” Dean says. “The 240′ temperature setting doesn’t slow down your dry time and more importantly, it doesn’t burn your hair.”
The Brush Dryer Styling Tool comes with multiple attachments for Volume & Control including:
● 38mm Round Brush: Between 9,500 and 10,000 bristles
● 51mm Round Brush: Between 16,000 and 17,000 bristles
○ Help to detangle the hair and avoid thermal damage.
○ Both Round Brush attachments come with a Brush Cleaning Tool.
● Air Flow Attachment: Works on curly, wavy and straight hair to help achieve a natural blowdry with volume, body and definition.
