If you believe that education is the foundation of growth in our industry, what happens when that education is beyond your means or inaccessible?

Vee Vargas (center) spoke at the MODERN SALON Boot Camp in Atlanta 2024 on Healthy Boundaries in Your Business.
In speaking with Vee Vargas, a MYSALON Suite owner, educator, and advocate for accessible learning, I was interested to hear what she meant by “inaccessible” to discuss how she is working to bridge gaps in apprenticeship programs, financial literacy, and professional development.
Vargas was recently named as a finalist for the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) in the Inspiring Salon category.
In this video interview, we talk about Vargas’s career which includes founding a nonprofit, launching an education initiative, and creating a podcast that brings hairstylists and consumers together.
She opens up about the importance of mentorship, luxury service training, and setting beauty professionals up for long-term success—not just in the salon but in their financial and personal lives as well.
