Meet Jill Buck, a dynamic celebrity hairstylist and devoted mom whose creative flair extends seamlessly from the salon to the screen.

In 2011 Jill ventured to Los Angeles and became an integral part of the Nine Zero One salon family. Jill’s career grew as she worked her way up, styling for luminaries such as Derek and Julianne Hough, Jewel, Emily Hampshire, Jessica Simpson and many more. Her guiding mantra amidst the industry whirlwind? “Embrace the chaos, seek creativity, and stay positive.”

Beyond the salon, Jill collaborates with renowned brands, making her mark on TV shows like Dancing with the Stars, America’s Got Talent and The Masked Singer. She plays a pivotal role in education, partnering with professional and consumer beauty brands worldwide.

Most recent on Jill’s roster is her ambassadorship with Davines North America, a role in which she will shape and deliver advanced color education while supporting hairstylists in developing their craft with confidence and creativity.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jill Buck to our exceptional team of Showcase Artists and Educators,” says Joey Defalco, Director of Education at Davines North America. “She brings a fresh perspective that will help us connect with both hairdressers and consumers who may not have yet experienced the beauty of Davines color. Her passion, professionalism, and purpose-driven approach truly reflect the heart of our community.”

Through her work and voice in the industry, Jill will authentically represent Davines at events, trainings, and in everyday salon interactions. Whether she is engaging with fellow professionals or sharing a transformation with clients, her approach is always rooted in genuine connection.

“I’m honored to join the Davines family and help elevate the craft of hairdressing through purposeful education and meaningful connection,” says Jill Buck. “Together, we’ll show what’s possible with color as a means of empowerment and positive change, all while embracing sustainable practices that honor our planet and its resources.”

For Jill, it’s not just about hairstyling, it’s about cultivating enduring relationships. She believes in the transformative power of helping people feel good about themselves, whether they’re in the chair or behind it.

Get to Know Jill

The best part of being a stylist: The people I get to meet and the places I get to visit! From the beginning, the passion of connecting and helping people is what drove me to go deeper into the hair industry. Connecting is what it’s all about.

My professional mentors: I’m so inspired by the business owners around me! Everyone starts from a simple idea or a simple place but what sets them apart is their work ethic and belief in themselves. I’ve been so honored to know and work with some very successful people but just to name a few, Riawna Capri and Nikki Lee, Liz and Dave Findlay, Tyler Howell, Shaun Neff, Jessica and Garrett Gee.

My guilty pleasures: Hot tamales and a coffee at the end of a long day.

My favorite hair product I can’t live without: Davines OI All in One Milk. I can’t brush my hair without it, and I don’t know a single person who can’t use it.

If I hadn’t become a hairdresser, I would have been: I really, really wanted to be a doctor. To this day, I’m not sure if I would’ve been smart enough to make it through the schooling, but I know I would’ve had the passion to be a really good doctor.

Every beauty professional should: Invest. Invest financially and invest in your health. Without either of these we do not have long-term careers. I could go on and on about this and love sharing how I did it at a young age!

Most people would be surprised to learn: That I don’t like chocolate, and I’ve never watched the TV show Friends.

Person whose hair I would love to cut/style/color and why: Oh, that is tough! There are so many people I would love to have a conversation with while doing their hair. I might have to go with David and Victoria Beckham…both such international fashion icons and impressive business owners.

Favorite editing tools for my content: I’m an old school Splice girl, however, I find a lot of my inspiration on TikTok, so sometimes I use CapCut as well.

Favorite streaming service: I’m going to have to go with Peacock because I’m really into the show Traitors.

Favorite social app: A girl’s trip is my favorite way to be social 😉 But if I have to choose a digital version, it would be Instagram. I’m all about sharing positivity and inspiration, which is what I choose to consume too. I’ve built a great community there.

The best advice I ever received: Introduce yourself to everyone. Whether you are at a hair show, working on a photo shoot, working a wedding, etc. Learn to be comfortable talking to everyone and sharing who you are. You never know where an introduction could lead.
